Kemerburgaz Hills, 2012, 50 x 50 cm
The work exists of a video work and a photo of a painting by Gökçebag (1996). Both in the video and the photo, the hills covered with trees are subject. The photo shows trees needly ordered according to the wishes of the painter. The resolute framing and manipulation of the video, make the hillside look rather unnatural. In combination these works question the authenticy of our natural environment in relation to its human perception and transformation.
